Changing leaves, cool weather, this season is the perfect time to enjoy the outdoors. There’s no better place to take in nature in Grand Rapids than Blandford Nature Center.
Located at 1715 Hillburn Ave. NW in Grand Rapids, Blandford Nature Center sits on more than 140 acres of woodland leased from the City of Grand Rapids. This charitable organization uses the land and wildlife as the perfect backdrop to provide quality environmental education and community programs. Along with gorgeous trails, Blandford is also home to nearly 30 animals that can be found in West Michigan wildlife. All of these animals are non-releasable due to injuries or integration into human care.
When families need a break from the outdoors, they can check out the Visitor’s Center. The nature center has classes, festivals, and other activities year round so there’s always something going on for people of all ages.
