Bring Your Bike on Board Amtrak Pere Marquette Trains


Have you ever dreamed of riding your own bike along Chicago’s lake shore? Well, now you can!

For the first time ever, bicycles are now welcome aboard Amtrak Pere Marquette trains. The Michigan Department of Transportation, Amtrak, The Rapid, Experience Grand Rapids and many other local and state organizations and community members celebrated the debut of Amtrak’s onboard bicycle racks at Vernon J. Ehlers Amtrak Station. Bringing your bike is just $10 each way and requires a reservation. Up to 16 bicycles are allowed on the train at a time. Standard bike sizes apply.
